Child Education: Middle School Summer Camps
Middle school kids between the approximate ages of 11-14 have got it rough. No longer children, but not quite adolescents, middle school kids often have difficulty fitting in. That is why middle school (a.k.a. Jr. High) camps are so terrific. Designed specifically for the kids in the middle, Jr. High camps provide an ideal escape from the norm.
Middle School Summer Camp Curriculum
Kids who fall between the ages of 11 and 14 have a lot going on. Their bodies are changing, their minds are developing, and inhabitants of the outside world dont quite know what to do with them! Middle school camps are ideal for such individuals because they provide a world in which middle scholars are the sole population.
Middle school camp curriculum is purposely developed with the almost-adolescent in mind. Programs such as ropes courses are used to build confidence while hands-on classes instructed by knowledgeable coaches teach problem solving and social strategy. Participants in middle school camp are encouraged to ask questions and are subsequently prepared for the upcoming years in which their responsibilities will increase.
I like to think of middle school camp as the last opportunity kids have to be, well, kids. While living with other individuals their own age, middle school campers are free to be themselves and are encouraged to challenge one another in growth and learning. Despite the fact that kids of this age are in such a desperate hurry to grow up, middle school camp reminds them its okay to relax and have fun.
